Nominations for these prestigious awards open 1 January 2025 with a closing date for submission of 31 March 2025.

These awards aim to honour those who have made significant contributions to the Glenfield community, and the nomination process, along with further details regarding eligibility, can be found on the official website.

To qualify for the Glenfield Citizen of the Year Award, nominees must have been residents of Glenfield for at least 12 months and must have significantly contributed to the community. Additionally, individuals employed by a Glenfield business for over a year who have volunteered extensively in ways that uplift the community are also eligible. Importantly, nominations that focus primarily on an individual's paid work will not be considered for this award.

In a similar vein, the Glenfield Young Citizen of the Year Award seeks to acknowledge the contributions of young members of the community. Nominees must have lived with a resident of Glenfield for more than 12 months and must be aged 17 years or younger. Their contributions to the community must also be substantial to qualify for this honour.

Both awards aim to spotlight the efforts of individuals who go above and beyond for the betterment of the Glenfield area, celebrating those who inspire others through their dedication and selfless actions.
